Welcome to Gravity Power Yoga, my attempt to share Yoga with the world thru the lessons and experience I encounter.   Why start another Yoga blog?  After doing Yoga for years strictly as a form of exercise, I have found that it is as they say, way more than just a physical experience.  I have found the joys and peace of mind brought on thru the steady and daily asana.   I have come to realize what parts I truly benefit from, and what draws me to to the .  For me, nothing clears my mind more than a physically demanding class that requires all of my physical and mental focus, it is only at the end of a tough, demanding class that I can truly relax and find peace of mind.

As I talk to more people, I have found that the general impression of Yoga is that of simply an hour of stretching, and at worst a form of an “alternative lifestyle”.   Not as a way to bring the mind and body truly in line, increasing both the physical and mental affects of exercise.  I started Gravity Power Yoga as a way to help bring more people to Yoga, share Yoga with the world, and educate people that Yoga can be used as any physical form of exercise would be, but that it has effects and benefits that one will not achieve by simply lifting weights in the gym.
